Look at the granulation!
Granulation is the posh term given to the growth of new tissue. If you look at the pic you can see pink blobs which are new tissue which has grown. From futher scrutiny you can still see the stubborn slough in the right side which is preventing me from taking steps to stop it smiling so widely. Anyhoo I'm pleased with the speedy growth as it means we are finally getting somewhere but not at the naughty little blob to the left of the wound which is threatening to spoil the party.
I coordinated at work this week which meant I was in charge of the ward. This means dealing with all enquiries passed my way, sorting out people's discharge plans i.e sorting out the involvement of social services, answering the annoying phone, making sure medications for discharge are done, going through every patient with the bed manager who is like a vulture waiting to swoop on available beds, doing the multi disciplinary meeting and on and on. Plus normal nursy stuff. It was good and I enjoyed it..............I've got the power!
Newsflash. The honourable Wendy Riedel has an ear infection so is not a the commencement of friday meeting which is a shame but hopefully she will be right for next week.
Peace out dudes. xx

Greetings mogatroid. Hope it heals soon so we are not exposed to more pictures! Love to wendy.
It's a long healing process for Mr nuttynurse. No wonder you didn't reply to my text the other day what with your coordinating activities on the ward. Next door ward patient remembered someone saying his name and recognised that nuttynurse daughter had been to see him on Mary Ray Ward. I took his wife in yesterday afternoon. She told the O.T. 'I am an SRN you know - used to work at KCH and retired at 61' ..and now, at 90 still very independent (despite the macular degeneration). Hard times for the aged, trying to soldier on at home together. Falls doctor, Physio, S.W. and O.T. trying to make a discharge possible. How did the Junior Girls go tonight?
