Jehu and his obeliskness!

I did the friday meeting talk last night on Jehu and how he enacted God's divine judgement on the son of the wicked King Ahab and Jezebel for having Naboth killed. Jehu drove his chariot furiously amd shot King Joram through the shoulder blades and the arrow went through his heart, good shot, instant kill!

Anyhoo many believed Jehu was another fictional character of the bible until an archeologist found an obelisk portraying Jehu on it 2800 years after he was alive. This once again shows the bible to be an accurate historical book despite it's unbelieving critics.

I couldn't resist showing a picture of asterix and obelisk in the talk, see left, as an example of what an obelisk is!

I was tired before the talk and tired after. But as usual had difficulty sleeping. I'm sure I kept poor hubby awake! It's awful when you can't sleep and you start getting frustrated in that you want to roll around and kick the covers off in protest. I wanted to do this and some annoying snoring also let to thoughts of pinching a certain snoring nose to shut it up so I quickly decanted to the spare bed before my wicked imagination led to naughty actions!!! Shock. It was however 5 am by this time so not much sleep to be had, especially as I had to get up again to glug some gaviscon as little monster was squishing my stomach which was encouraging left over curry to rewind and reflux, yuk!!!

So enough moaning already. I have acupuncture on monday but will make it the last session as I don't think it has helped and there are more important things to spend money no right now. I have to be at SG today for the winter party and screaming kids, ouch!
