Getting there.........
View from top of new staircase through door frame space.
This is from right front position looking towards the back of the room and out the dormer. Showeroom is through the door space on the left.
This pic shows side of the dormer and the maynard window at the top of the new staircase.
This pic gives a close up view of the lovely tiles. They are red with faint black stria which give them a very attractive look (do I sound like a salesperson!) I'm sold!
This pic looks along the front of the roof showing the velux window, new fascias (white) and new guttering. Had to get new fascias and soffets due to squirrel occupation and the subsequent damage! The guttering is at quite an angle but apparently so is the house!!!! That's what you get for building on clay soil Mr Whittell!
So, 11 weeks down the line and we're getting there! All that remains is finishing the roof, installing the sanitaryware plus plumbing and internal finishes, door frames etc.
Here's hoping for a quite summer..............well apart from getting my paint brush out!

Garoovy. Now you will have to search out decorating deals and furniture bargains to cut the cash leakage! But once it is done it is done and you will be set.....you won't be thinking 'man this house is too small and there is no where for David to study'..... (hmmmm, those thoughts sound rather familiar!)
"Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs. Isaiah 54 v2. It's the modern equivalent.
Yeah but I'd rather have paid for some curtains and pegs!!!!! LOL
We don't need furniture just mucho paint! If and when you get a new place, 2 reception rooms would sort that problem as D can study in one while kids are in the other. Open plan living is nice but not always practical.
It looks really hard work - living with builders in every day I mean. We've thought of doing our attic to get in an extra six bedrooms, but it would meaning raising the roof, and I think I might go mad with builders underfoot for 11weeks. In fact I am sure I would.
You will be glad when it is all done and dusted.
Love
